Artist Questions

What artist inspires you? Why?

It is hard to name one single artist, so I will name two. The works of Jim Wilcox and Tucker Smith are a constant inpiration to me. Their sense of light and painterly style is something I am striving for in my work.

How do you come up with an idea for a new piece of artwork?

The ideas come when I am actually living the life that I paint. By doing that, I seem to "recharge the batteries" and find new inspiration and ideas.

Where is the most inspirational place you've visited lately?

Visiting the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, Wyoming and viewing the great works of art right in my hometown is a great source of inspiration.
