About the Artist

Robert Grogan is a Signature Member of the American Impressionist Society, Oil Painters of America, California Art Club, Plein Air Painters of Idaho, and the South African Society of Artists. He and his wife divide their time between Sun Valley, Idaho, and Franschhoek, South Africa. They travel widely throughout the Mountain West and Southern Africa in search of painting subjects. His work is in numerous international and corporate collections.

How do you come up with an idea for a new piece of artwork?

I respond to many intangibles related to a landscape. I am inspired to do the painting when I see these elements come together.
