About the Artist
Jimmy Dyer is dedicated to communicating the beauty he sees in life through painting. His light-filled images deal with subjects from around the globe. He seeks to combine the light and color of plein air painting with the solid drawing and tonal accuracy of more academic styles. After earning a bachelor's degree from the University of Dallas, he moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he came under the influence of some of the finest painters in America. He painted in the area for five years, capturing the landscapes of New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, and Arizona. Finding it necessary to travel in order to maintain inspiration, he has painted in Europe, Canada, the Caribbean, and South America. He lives in Texas with his wife, Amy.
