About the Artist

Bob Barlow is the son of a pioneer ranching family and was educated at the Art Institute of Chicago. His love of travel and outdoor painting takes him frequently to Africa, notably Tanzania, Kenya, South Africa, and Morocco as well as many locations in Europe. Bob continues to focus on the landscapes of his native region, Wyoming and Montana, where he currently maintains a home and studio.

What artist inspires you? Why?

The American and European-especially Russian-Impressionists all have special meaning to me.

How do you come up with an idea for a new piece of artwork?

Traveling and observing nature.

Where is the most inspirational place you've visited lately?

Moroccan Sahara.
